A few days ago we revealed the finalists for our Birds in Flight 2021 Photo Contest, and now the winners have also been announced (see links below). We also want to share several other entries in this contest that we really liked: the 16 honorable mention images. Thank you to everyone who submitted over 825 bird photos to this contest! It was a very difficult contest to judge.

Great Horned Owl by Anthony Goldman
A great horned owl flies in March 2021 at Philippe Park in Clearwater, Florida in a forest with lots of Spanish moss. Photographer Anthony Goldman says the owl was heading for chicks in a nest.
